He has particular expertise in the field of disputes relating to delay analysis. His clients include both regional and global entities. He also sits as an arbitrator. Paul Blakeway
Senior Associate– Taylor Wessing
Paul specialises in international arbitration and dispute resolution, with particular expertise in construction and engineering disputes including extension of time and prolongation, loss and expense, and delay claims. Paul also has extensive experience in corporate and commercial dispute resolution, having worked across the DIAC, ICC, DIFC-LCIA and KSA rules of arbitration, and in the Courts of England & Wales and the Dubai International Finance Centre. Paul has previously worked in the Construction and Engineering group in Taylor Wessing's London office before moving to the Dubai office in 2013.
James Baldwin
Senior Associate– Taylor Wessing
James is a senior associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice group based in Dubai. He specialises in contentious construction, real estate and insurance matters across the gulf region with particular focus on arbitrations in the Dubai and Abu Dhabi arbitration centres. His experiences as Dubai based developer include: acting against an Abu Dhabi master developer concerning a mixed use tower in Abu Dhabi (under the ADCCAC Rules) and handling purchaser disputes brought against this Dubai based developer in respect of three residential projects across the UAE (under the DIAC Rules).
