With the introduction of VAT in the UAE since 1 January 2018, the UAE joins a long list of countries that have since introduced this tax.
This course will look at the broad outline of the GCC/UAE VAT, as compared to other VAT systems in the world. It will seek to explain the structure and legal framework, and in particular will consider what might be considered 'good' VAT compliance, exemptions under the VAT regime and what pitfalls to be mindful of.
