Prof. David Slocum is an internationally recognized leadership educator, executive coach, and thought leader with more than 25 years of experience helping leaders navigate complexity, transformation, and organizational change. He teaches high-impact leadership, strategic management, and global leadership at Thunderbird School of Global Management, one of the world's leading institutions for international business and executive education.
In addition to his role at Thunderbird, Prof. Slocum serves as Professor of Creative Leadership at the Berlin School of Creative Leadership in Germany, where he previously led the school's Global Executive MBA and executive education programs. He has worked extensively with senior executives, entrepreneurs, and business leaders across Europe, the Middle East, North America, Asia, and Latin America.
A certified executive coach, Prof. Slocum has advised leaders across industries including technology, finance, consulting, media, energy, and the creative industries. His work focuses on developing leadership capabilities that enable organizations to thrive amid uncertainty, accelerate innovation, strengthen collaboration, and drive meaningful transformation.
Previously, he held senior academic leadership positions at New York University and The George Washington University, where he designed and led executive education initiatives for global organizations and emerging leaders.
