As the UAE celebrates its Golden Jubilee in 2021, the DIFC Academy in collaboration with Alyiant Consultancy Limited proudly presents a webinar session that discusses developments in the UAE on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) considerations and integration into financing and investment decision-making processes and business practices. The progressive initiatives of the UAE, including the UAE Vision 2021 and the UAE’s commitment to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Paris Agreement, is leading to a fast developing eco-system in the UAE for ESG matters connected to sustainable finance, investment and business practices. The discussion will cover the importance and advantages of ESG integration; developments in the UAE towards ESG disclosures and reporting; and international reporting and sector-specific standards relating to ESG matters.
