DIFC Academy

This is to remind you of the LAD’ CLPD requirement for all legal consultants registered with both the LAD and the DIFC Courts to attend the Mandatory training course on Introduction to the DIFC Courts and Code of Conduct. This applies to legal consultants registered with the DIFC Courts in both Part I and Part II.

To clarify, this requirement only applies to legal consultants registered with the LAD and the DIFC Courts. Therefore, this does not apply to ALL legal consultants working in the DIFC, only those registered with the DIFC Courts (in either Part I or Part II). This requirement also does not apply to non-legal consultants registered in Part I with the Courts, such as paralegals or office administrators.

There are several legal consultants who still need to attend this course and the Academy of Law is therefore planning to host more opportunities before the deadline of 31 October 2016. If you represent a firm with DIFC Courts Part I registrants who are also LAD registered, or you are a Part II DIFC Courts registered consultant yourself also registered with the LAD, and you have yet to attend the Mandatory course covering and Introduction to the DIFC Courts and the Code of Conduct then please let us know the number of people you need to send to this course by replying to [email protected]
